Onyx + Alabaster

Welcome to Franklin, Tennessee

Where elevated design, curated living, and community converge in the heart of Franklin. Inside our restored 1890s building on the square, you’ll find a full-service interior design studio, a thoughtfully curated home market, and a designer coffee lounge — three distinct experiences woven together by a single vision: to help people live beautifully.

A Building with a Story

Our home at 234 Public Square once served as Franklin’s city hall and fire station — a gathering place where neighbors came together, decisions were made, and the heartbeat of a growing town could be felt. Today, those same brick walls and hardwood floors tell a new story: one of design, creativity, and connection. Original architectural details remain, layered with modern finishes, curated art, and soft light. It’s a space where history meets intention, and where every visitor is treated like a guest.

A Destination in the Heart of Franklin

Downtown Franklin is a living postcard, with brick-lined streets and buildings that whisper stories from the 1800s. Recognized on the National Register of Historic Places, the 16-block district has long been the cultural center of Williamson County.

Step outside our doors and you’ll find boutiques, art galleries, restaurants, and live music filling the square. Step inside, and you’ll experience something equally timeless — a warm welcome, a beautiful space, and a design philosophy that blends comfort and craftsmanship in everything we do.

Inside O+A

The Design Studio
Upstairs, our full-service interior design studio houses a team of talented designers and stylists who bring thoughtful, intentional spaces to life. Whether you’re building from the ground up or refreshing what you already have, our process is rooted in collaboration, creativity, and connection.

The Home Market
Our main level is home to our retail market — a curated collection of furniture, lighting, art, and home décor that reflects our signature style: modern yet timeless, elevated yet livable. Each piece is selected with an eye for craftsmanship and a belief that home should tell your story beautifully.

The Coffee Lounge
At the front of our building, you’ll find our coffee lounge — an inviting space to gather, meet, or slow down. With a designer’s touch and a barista’s care, we’ve created a place where conversation flows easily, and every cup is served with genuine hospitality.

Hospitality Is Our Craft

We believe hospitality is an art form. Whether you’re meeting with our design team, browsing our home market, or simply stopping in for a latte, you’ll feel the difference. We find joy in welcoming people — in creating moments of warmth, inspiration, and connection that last long after you leave.
